I never heard of this company before, but I sure hope they stick around. Then when I had a question, I had no trouble finding a simple support email address on the manufacturer's website, and didn't have to w ait long for a response. If you enjoyed this article consider joining Phoronix Premium. Those interested in the PAU09 can find it currently at for 23 USD. This adapter has not shut down once in the 3 weeks since installation, comes right back online after computer hibernation, and as a bonus is unmistakable faster in both initiating network connections and data transfer. Features - Panda PAU06 upgrades any computer to the latest 802.11 n standard - Max data rate up to 300 Mbps with 802.11n - WPS. Overall, Im happy with the Panda PAU09 for being a nicer model than the PAU06, still only costing about 20 USD, and working out noticeably better while being well advertised as a Linux-supported product. When I found this Panda rated the second best adapter among a dozen tested in a recent (2017) review, I was skeptical because of its low price.(Apparently so were the reviewers). The computer was often used for remote live video to watch pets so I needed better reliability. I wrestled for quite a while with a netgear adapter that kept randomly shutting down (apparently a common complaint with many for their models). Surprisingly fast, very reliable, amazing value.
